Job description
Education Paraprofessionals and classroom assistants support instruction and behavior in the classrooms by working with groups and individuals. A degree is not required, but is preferred so that a substitute teaching license can be acquired.

There is currently one position available.

Placement is likely as a 1:1 assistant in the SPED classroom working primarily with ASD, but assignments can be flexible with the multiple paraprofessionals here. Each room has a team of adults working inside it, and the SPED department has 4 teachers and multiple assistants/paraprofessionals.

Riverway is an environmental school with much time spent outside and at recess in idyllic settings. We are also a Montessori informed setting in the primary school. The secondary is a problem-solving focused small school environment that is ideal for relationships and support academically, emotionally, and socially.

All positions require a basic resume/work history, interview, and background check.

Work hours are approximately 8am-3/4pm. The schedule follows the traditional school year, summer school is optional, and paychecks are spread equally over the 12-month year to help with summer budgeting.

We are a small school environment with 10 students per grade level and 3 grade levels per room (approximately 20-25 students per room). You work closely with other adults on a supportive team of dedicated professionals.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
